There's some stuff to be found by searching:

I flew one a friend of mine has, and I liked a lot. I went over to the discus launch side for a quite a while, but I can still have a lot of fun with my Terminator HLG, which has similar, if less floaty, performance.
Best of luck with it and welcome to the ezone!

friend of mine built one, winch launched it (not a strong launch) and the wing folded.
believe the instructions when D&J say hi-start only.

I fly an Avenger 2 from Janco Models. It works really well and is relatively affordable, compared to the $300+ models from Maple Leaf, Polecat Aero, and Oleg. The fiberglass wing skin isn't quite as durable as a kevlar one, and it doesn't launch quite as well (combination of airfoil and boom), but it's plenty good for my needs right now. There's quite a few threads about it on the forums.

Hi Nighthawk,
First of all, let me welcome you to E Zone and RC Groups! I'm sure you'll find this an extremely useful resourse.
I'm building a Chrysalis 2M right now (about 3/4 complete) and I think you'll find it an excellent kit to put together. It's very well thought out and goes together quickly.
It is a very light plane and as noted above should NOT be launched using a winch. A high start should be fine.

Thanks for the advice, id really hate to break it during the first flights! Does anyone have any tips with building or flying the Chrysalis 2m?

I got my kit in 1999 and put it together right away. It must be pretty durable - it is still in flying shape today, almost 4 years later.. I usually launched it with a Hobby Lobby red histart with about 8 lbs of pull at release. I also launched it with my winch many times without damaging the wing. I was careful with the winch. It would be easy to fold the wings if you don't take it easy.
The plane works fine. I had to keep an eye on washout. I corrected washout using a heat gun several times over several years. The biggest problem I had with the plane is I broke the fuse right in front on the tail several times but it was easy to repair and seems fine today. I think it is one of the best 2m balsa planes available.

I too have a Chrysalis that is close to 4 years old. The first 2 meter I built. Have also pulsed it up on the winch many times. Did add a little carbon to the top and bottom of the center section of the spar. I almost never use the spoilers. Just have not had much of a need.
Thanks for reminding me of this plane, it has been over a year since I have flown it. Need to dust it off and take it out in light lift.
