I am getting frustrated. I dont have the time to get a trainer pilot to watch over me and want to fly. I have also loaded about 1000 bucks into this hobby. Anyway I have the ESKY 0905A and am trying to pair it with FMS with no luck. My PC sees it in the gaming option (ADC) of the control panel, but when i open FMS, I can't get the blue bars to move at all for calibration of the contoller. Could it compete with another USB device? I also tried to get my Spectrum DX6 to hook up with FMS, but never had luck. I have SmartPropoPlus installed. PPjoy was also installed. I have also installed the correct number and selected the "inv" checkbox per the ESKY instructions.

Anyone have anything that can help? Should I take out PPJoy and SmartPropo and the FMS and try a reload. There shoudn't be any reason why this wont work.

I used to fly gas 20 years ago and want so bad to quit crashing my electrics and just have fun flying. My box is XP SP2, 1.6 Ghz. I have been on MAC for 4 years now and don't know windows that wll anymore.

I was having a heck of a time getting the Esky 0905A dummy tx working on HeliSimRc and FMS. Everything calibrated under Windows control panel, but no luck in anything but Clearview, which worked fine.

I opened "Game Controllers" under control panel, clicked "Advanced", and a drop down list came up. It had "PPJoy" listed as the controller to use with older programs. I changed it to the Esky ("ADC") and everything works fine now.

I had removed PPjoy as well, but still had to go to the "Advanced" button and change preferred device to ADC. Windows still wanted to use a controller that wasn't there.

Note: this is copy/pasted from another reply I did; just wanted to make sure you saw it.

Thanks Shizac,

I don't know what I did, but I finally got the thing to work, I guess, you hit it enough times with a hammer the outcome will be favorable. Anyway, I am happy now. I am working with a slow stick and am starting to feel the plane. I am becoming automatic which is what I want. That way I may be able to keep my plane in the air a bit longer before I have to epoxy it on the hood of my car.

-note: one thing: I had to look at the calibration inside FMS to see what joystick did what. They were all wrong and I had to map them. I also had to restart FMS about 6 times before it finally worked without a hitch. Not hammering PCs, but this is why I went MAC. I am more productive and solving less driver and install problems
