clearview rc flight sim is $40...why are all of the other rc sims so much more expensive? i'm buying a hobbico nextstar for a few reasons, but one of the biggest is that it comes with a flight sim. granted you can only use the one aircraft in it, but it will suit my needs. how much do the usb cables go for? because i'd love to build a custom combo plane, and pick up a normal rc flight sim. i'd getter a better radio, better motor, and the flight sim would be seperate.

Depends on the amout of realisim you want & the horsepower of the PC you have. (& the $$ you have to spend) I own both Clearview & Phoenix & like them both for different reasons.

I can honestly say that Clearview & a $19 E-sky USB transmitter is alot of fun and can teach you how to fly or how to fly better. But for all out details & flight perfection get Phoenix.

Of course - what ever works best for you...

well i want a flight sim i can use my futaba with, so that i can practice the moves to fly a real plane. my pc is pretty good, i play first person shooters with a high 50 frame rate, without issues.

I've got Clearview and it is awesome. Seems pretty realistic to me. Tons of models to download. The only thing that is missing is moveable flaps and gear but he is working on that mod and it should be out in a couple months. Also the program just got upgraded to do breakable models so not all models are breakable yet.

Forgot, ask Stephan, the writer of the program, where to get a usb plug that will plug into your transmitter. He sent me a link and it cost $8.00 with free shipping. downside is it ships from Hong Kong so it did take 2 weeks. But it works great and has many adapters for many different controllers.

All ClearView models are created with ac3d - very good low poly 3d modeler that is downloadable from ac3d.org If you want to create your own models and use them in ClearView, you will need ac3d license that cost $79.95. For ClearView customers I obtained ac3d license discount so they can purchase ac3d and ClearView combo for $99 - which is $20 saving if both licenses are purchased separate.
