Recently picked up some 10ah and 5ah cells advertised as 20c, with the thought of converting an old 100" tailorcraft to an electric floatplane. probably around 13-15lb. I have the floats, a phoenix 60, 6cell max, a bunch of 10ah and some 5ah cells. Trying to do it on the cheap, so probably a motor from united hobbies,

was one option, another slightly smaller is this one:

supost to be an axi 4130 equiv.
Any advise? I see a lot of fliers are using 4500-5000mah cells, up to 10s, which would require a new ESC. The 10ah cells are pretty heavy, just under 8oz ea. But would give a nice run time.
I am guessing, but I expect I will need about 140-160 oz of thrust to get off the water cleanly. Maybe a bit less?
