Anyone interested in a Fun/Night Fly in Dallas, TX - April 26th?

I have tossed the idea to a few friends in Dallas to consider putting together a Fun-Fly / NIGHT-FLY event in Dallas on April 26th. What are your thoughts?

Maybe we could set up a general fun-fly during the day but have an "official" Night-Fly event scheduled at dusk. Something like 6:30 - 9pm..?? I would love to have a food service (I'm big on BBQ) to come out and sell food so no one would have to leave. Maybe on big PIZZA run..??

I only know of a handful of people who actually fly night planes but if we could get a nice gathering together, it might be worth our while...especially for this particular forum.

Please drop your feedback in this thread. Looking forward to the responses.

I am in too - I think we are planning on the 114th but not sure Ronnie or Wendell has anything cooked up yet. Pizza or BBQ sounds good and it is close to food.....

Again, I can't take charge of this since I'm not a member of the 114th. If your club is willing to offer the field for a day/evening event, I'll do whatever I can down here (Houston) to promote the event.

The sooner we can post the "official" event on RCGroups, the better. I'm sure we'll get some more folks interested. I would love to include some night-flying videos and pics in the main link to get some people interested.

As for BBQ....do you guys have a place near the field that is willing to cater? Or are you guys offering to do the BBQ yourself? I think we need to get some folks to sponsor a whole bunch of FOGGER/BUG spray!! :)

That also happens to be the same day (04/26) as my birthday :D

If it happens, and I can make it, I'll try to build something new to try and outshine Sparkys Bird Dog, although that will be a tall order ;)
