Hello All,

I would like to build a simple hard chine monohull for a speed 400 motor to go boating with my daughters.

I don't want anything fancy or hydroplane like. Does anyone have any plans or recomendations for the dimensions, diameter/pitch of prop to use. I will probably use a 7 cell 2000 flight pack for duration.

Thanks.........Paul C.

Paul,
Have a look at www.microhydros.com. It is a site that is dedicated to smaller boats all over the world.
As far as using a 7 cell 2000 pack, Probably not going to work so well on a 400 powered boat. The weight of the pack will be more than that little 400 will push at any great speed.
If you are just looking for something that will run around and not plane, then it will be fine.
Props are limited for the smaller motors, but the Octura X427 has been used quite a bit on the Speed 400,s.

Thanks for that Climate,

The jake mini mono hull looks just what I want. Although I think I will go for the more conventional prop tube and rudder arrangement.

You site was interesting too, I used to race Marblehead yachts, the Epoch looks very tasty.

Thanks happy New Year............Paul C.
