Has anyone seen a large EPP plane? Maybe a aerobatic type.
I'm considering building one and lookin for some ideas. Maybe a 6-8ft wing.
Thanks, Butch

I searched here and didn't find anything under EPP, but I haven't seen a Giant Foamie forum. Where were you thinking?? Thanks, Butch

I did a forum search for threads under the keywords "Giant foamie" and got many results. May not have been EPP but I do not see where the differences would be too hard to make the jump.

Then I did a search for "large foamies" and got a bunch more. Sort of have to sort through for what you want but I remember one thread that lead to an online store specializing in large foamies.

Yep had it in my subscriptions.

They are here and the information is good. I'm running an E-flight 480 outrunner on a 54" 3D plane I based on ChargerRC's CR-1. Flys great and floats like a big 120 sized Gasser.

Largest kit I've seen is the Sniper XXL @ 63" wingspan. It's EPP with airfoiled wing. I built a 52" blucor(1/2") Clik that flies great. Someone else has made an EPP version as well, I'm sure it can be scaled up to any size you want.

The reason I tried to find EPP designs is because EPP builds different than other foams. Its alot more flexable and the design needs to take that into account. I've had over 250 planes and about 50 EPP planes and they are different. Thanks for the info, Butch

This is a 9 foot wingspan that supposedly weighs only 6 or 7 pounds. Watch video, it is great.

Thanks Doug,
Thats the video that got me thinking about a bigger EPP plane. That sucker is so huge, but flys so slow and nice. Butch
