Hey guys,
I got this little motor and i dont know anything about it. It say "Mighty Marine" on the front of it. any ideas? maybe what it might be worth?
It has a little champion spark plug in it, and it has like a cam lobe for what looks like a point set. also the fuel bowl.

Wow! Thats an old engine! Looks like it's in fairly decent shape too. Does the crank turn or is it seized? I'm not sure who it's made by or a model or anything but I bet an engine collector would probably pay a decent price for it. I sold a fairly common but old O.S. .40 Four stroker on ebay last year and there was a guy from Australia who was a collector would offered me a reeeeally good price for it but I had already sold it. Clean it up an list it if you want to sell it. Other wise, you would have a decent start to a Vintage model engine collection. Looks nice! :)

I had a older ignition engine like that that a hobby shop owner/engine collector was interested in adding to his collection. Mine had an intact fuel bowl like yours does. He said that the fact that it was present and not discolored or soft was a very good thing, and added to its value. The bowls were originally intended for some kind of gasoline-type fuel in the late 1930's and into the 1940's.
When nitro-based glow fuels came into popular usage, some owners of these ignition engines would try to run them on the new glow fuels. However, the nitro-base of the glow fuels and the chemical composition of the fuel bowls were not compatible, and a lot of fuel bowls were damaged or destroyed, thus lowering the value of the engine.
Your fuel bowl appears to look good, which should add somewhat to the value of your ignition engine. Good luck with it.
