I'm looking for the CAM Carbon props in sizes around 20x10, 19x10 etc...does anyone know if they exist or anybody makes them at all? Hobby-Lobby didnt have that size either.
These are supposed to provide more thrust at lower amps than APC-E props yeah?

If you're meaning Graupner CAM CFK props, I can't find any trace of sizes like that on one or two German websites. Not sure what your application is, but some of the best non-folding carbon props for electric are made by Mejzlik - http://mejzlikmodellbau.inshop.cz/inshop/

Yeah i looked up the Mejzlik electric series, they start from 20x11. I could use that as well, but wanted to try the CAM Carbon props. Graupner or any other brand.

Aeronaut CAM Carbon stops at 18,5x12" : http://www.aero-naut.net/306.html?&L=1
My experience with large APC-E props have been very good, a CAM Carbon folder may well pull less amps but with extra thrust? Doubt it.

drstillpatient - we may be able to advise you better if you care to tell us your intended application.

I'm flying the Ultra-RC Katana 75". Currently i'm running it on 20x10 PT Model Carbon Fiber Gas prop. Power setup is for 3D running on 10S li-po. I've tried the APC-E series in sizes 18x8, 19x8, 19x10, 20x8 and 20x10. all the props above 19x8 are great and provide ample power.
But now i'm switching over to A123 M1's in 13S1P config. So i was thinking lower amp draw and higher thrust wouldnt be a bad idea. I read of all the good things about the CAM Carbon props. I guess there isnt much in this size range to look at then.
BTW, i read of a direct comparison of the Mejzlik 20x11 electric prop with the APC-E 20x10 and the Mejzlik had more thrust with lower amps. If only they were cheaper

You can also look at Freudenthaler and RASA props.
I try to stay away frpm APCE as much as possible.

drstillpatient - Gas props are rarely a good choice for electrics - normally too heavy and insufficient pitch for our applications. I guess the larger CAM series props aren't made because of lack of perceived demand - tell the manufacturers what sizes you want to see! Mejzlik props may not be cheap, but quality costs money, why not give one a try? As Jocke says, Freudenthaler (RFM) and RASA produce good quality props, but AFAIK they are only folders, but if you can get a hub/spinner to suit your model, they may be worth a try. Lastly, don't ignore wooden props, they are available in a very wide range of sizes and I've found some of them to be well suited to electric power, though I haven't tried them on a model like your Katana. You'll also find them more reasonably priced compared to Mejzlik. :)

Yeah i was leaning towards the Xoar electric series props as a back-up. might get that Mejzlik later sometime, hopefully they'll have sizes in 18" and 19" as well. Thanks for the suggestions!
