Alright I think I just need one more thing to get started on my model. It's a CMR Barracuda which is mostly plastic, but has wood and metal parts that will haveto be glued together. What glue do you guys recommend?

CA can work, but if the joint will take any flexing, watch out!
Amazing Goop, from any hardware store, is somewhat flexible and sticks to everything. But the joint needs to breathe- won't work between 2 sheets of nonporous material, but will work as an exposed fillet.
A harder joint can be had with PL Premium polyurethane construction adhesive, in caulking tubes from Home Depot. Also needs to breathe.
Robbe recommends a 2-part stuff called Stabilit Express for sticking anything the ABS, get it from www.hobby-lobby.com (http://www.hobby-lobby.com/). Works in those non-breathable joints.
Deluxe Materials has a similar brew called Fusion, get it from them in the UK, or from Loyalhanna in the US. Both are somewhat pricey, but they work!
Epoxy does NOT work on flexible plastics- it may look like it's sticking, but test the joint, you'll find it comes right apart. Exception may be West's new G-flex epoxy... had some good reviews here, but I haven't tried it.

Thank you much for your answer. You lost me a little with the breathing. Can you give me an example on the boat of what would be a joint that would breath and one that wouldn't? I'm real familiar with goop. Where wouldn't you use Goop? Where would you use CA? Thanks again. I would like to at least try to get everything i can right with this model.

Breathing = drying via evaporation, as opposed to 2 part glues that don't "dry" (they chemically react to form a new compound). Example of non-breathing joint- the deck to hull flanges on my Robbe Valdivia, about 3/4" wide flat flanges glued face to face. Compare to a wooden bulkhead Tee-jointed to the sides of the hull, and glued with fillets.
