I picked up this boat off eBay. Got it for a good deal.

It is about 24" long, and says on manual that it is Acoms, but on the back it has a sticker put over original company. The new sticker says MRC.

I am trying to date this, as I believe it to be 80's.

It runs off a 380 motor, so I will probably upgrade it with a Trinity motor designed for the Mini T.

Doers anyone know anything about it???????

I have heard of this model before. It is based on a real boat. Here is one for sale:

a 385 will do that, with a 30mm 3-blade scale prop, doesn't look a racy boat like a sunseeker. real boat is twin shaft

That is a nice looking cruiser!

I find it interesting that MRC now sells a very similar ARF cruiser kit (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=9066345). The newer Academy boat does not seem to be based on any particular prototype.
