Hi Guys,

Alula HLG comp next Sunday at Belrose.

Will run some basic HLG rules.

Will need stop watchs for half the field minimum. Then timers can swap as pilots and so on. So bring a stop watch if you have one, pen and clip board also required.

Please confirm if you are keen.

Pass the word around.

Only Alula HLG allowed to keep it fair obviously!!!

He knows my Alula is dead. I might be able to get another built by then though. Lukey gave me his old one. It's busted up, but I should still be able to beat Guy with it :p
He also knows I'm not insured to fly in organised events cos I'm not a MAAA member. :D
Still... I could take the risk with something weighing a couple of grams. Count me in if I get a plane in time.

I'm thinking that a 140 gram Alula which is what mine weighs is probably worth taking the risk for not being MAAA insured. I'm thinking you would be hard pressed to knock a budgee of its perch in a head on collision :eek:

If you are not MAAA insured and are happy to run the risk I will see you there :p

I have just realised it is my 2 YO Bday on sunday, we have a function at 11.00am so GuyP will run the event. I will pass the HLG tasks onto him.

Remember bring a stop watch or similar please. Don't worry about clip boards as we have one.

I will try and pop up for half an hour or so around 9.30 if I can.

GuyP and I got up to Lional Watts oval at 9.30am Sunday as posted. There was soccer training at the west end, but was free at the east end where we were. We had a chuck for 15 mins then I had to go as posted to my 2YO Bday party. I gave GuyP the rules folder and he waited till 10.00 am but no one showed???

I understand someone turned up at 8.30 am (very keen) and another at 10.30 am.

I think if we do this again we will require definate confirmations and try and adhere to the correct starting times. I will post my mobile next time also.

FYI GuyP and I went to Jubilee oval at Wahroonga last week and got some huge thermals :p I managed to get away 3 times to a spec and only came down when my AR6100 Spektrum rx started losing signal :eek:

Hey, I don't know if it was any of you guys, but on Sunday morning when I was on the way home from work, before I left to fly over at Hammondville, I saw a group of 4 guys tossing Alulas up in the air at my local park/flying field Walshaw Park on the corner of Hector and Buist St in Bass Hill...
