Does anyone remeber the specific issue of American Aircraft Modeler that the original RC Nobler (not George Aldrich's original CL model, but the RC version that was kitted by Top Flite shortly after the article was published) was published? I have a reference that shows the February 1969 issue of American Aircraft Modeler as the one, but have not been able to confirm that yet. Before I go and buy that issue on e-bay, anyone remember for sure?
Thanks,

Well February 1969 is what it says on the AMA plans listing but perhaps that is the reference you are using.

Thanks, Ray. Actually, I have not checked the plans, so that is the second confirmation. Thank you!
I think I will get ebaying....

Has a picture of someone knealing next to a Stearman, and mentions a story about Richthofen on the cover.

I have digitized high resolution restored plans in .PDF files of the original Nobler (U-Control) from the June 1952 Model Airplane News and also the Nobler Jr. (U-Control) once kitted by Top Flite if these will help. Just e-mail me at rcarswellsr@att.net and be sure to mention what you want and I will send them back by return e-mail.

1952 sounds a lot closer to the original alright; I was still flying a Firebaby when that came out...

Thanks so much, Gene. It is great to be able to look at the RC Nobler plans on PDF.
Do you have the rest of the Feb 69 article by Sweeney that could be posted?
I just picked up an original RC Nobler kit on ebay. Should arrive tomorow!
Thanks, again.

Awesome, Gene! Thank you. I have not had any luck tracking down the Feb 69 issue, so this is really helpful.
