After years of flying upright and doing basic acrobatics, I'm moving on to inverted and 3D flying on small electric planes. I have FMS, but there is just not enough realistic features or training tools to help me master my goal of learning to do rolling harriers. I'd like to invest in a good sim as it will be my primary source of flying until later in the spring. I like good graphics, but I would really like to find a sim that has detailed training tools such as helping you to learn new manuvers by only adding channels as you progress... I have searched this forumn but have not seen much detail on training tools.

Example: Inverted, doing some of the work for you such as rudder input.. or Rolling harriers and torque rolling.

I have a modern duo core laptop with 2gb ram and a 256mb radeon x1600 graphics. I've got a milehigh usb to Hitec adaptor and Eclipse 7 that I use on FMS.

What do you think?

In addition to whatever other sim you are looking at, you may try ClearView from http://rcflightsim.com I do fly a lot of foam planes and I think there is a lot you can learn from it. CV has auto pilot feature that allow you to assign any channel to be computer controlled or controlled by you or for shared control where the computer auto pilot helps you with the control. It really help when you learn 3d hover, where you start with auto pilot doing 80% of the job (your part is to point the nose straight and control the throttle), to the auto pilot only helping you let say 10 percent, where you are doing almost all of the control.
