Hey guys, please give a hand.

I'm trying to repair a radio that have some melted connectors and can't find them in my country, and cannot figure out which brand and type are them.

Here is a picture, if anyone can give some hints to find them, I'll appreciate that.

These connectors are very small and are for 5 cables.

I need the the male (chassis) and female (flying, as in the picture) type of connectors.

Saludos.

First thing you need to do is measure the pitch(ie the distance between two pins). Can't do anything without that.

Esos conectores no son comunes en equipo de radio control - se encuentran mas en computadoras y otros equipos electronics. Busca:
www.mouser.com y www.digikey.com. Bna ste de CA.

Gracias, buscaré en los sitios que recomiendas.

Thank you, I'll do my search on those web sites.

Those connectors are use to join highly integrated PCB with microprocessors, that's why they look like as they were used as computer parts. By now many radios are small computers.

The pitch is about 2mm (0.0787")

The length is 11,8mm (0.464")
The width is 4.15mm (0.163)

Hope this would help.

Ricardo,

Maybe the PH series near the bottom, right hand side of this page?

Ricardo,

I just remembered -

If you need the 5-pin version, try looking in an old mouse or keyboard.
