Hi E-freaks
it's already time to plan the next E-meeting in Berlin (Germany) in June 2008, organized by the R/C modeler club MVR (http://www.mv-reinickendorf.de/) .
Date: June 21/22, Incoming on Friday 20th is possible
Field location: 16321 Birkholz; Loehmer Weg; (http://mvr.elias5000.de/html/anfahrt.html) Germany, north-east of Berlin
MVR air field Co-ordinates:Latitude: 52.628090° North
Longitude: 13.581720° West
We have a lot of space for camping and caravans , but if somebody like a shower you can find nice accommodations very close at the air field in: Pension Krehling (http://www.krehling.de/index.htm) or Hotel-Lennepark (http://www.hotel-lennepark.de/) .
The last years were a big success. But we want to top the event in this year once again. Following topics are planed:
At the first time some awards were provided:
1: To commemorate of the difficulties at the beginning of E-powered RC models we want to award the oldest airplane with the oldest E-drive (accu technology will not be considered). Fight for the "Best of Elektro-Antik-Trophy".
2: Everyone who has an foam model similar Zagikiller can contest "Crazy Air Battlefield Cup" . According our club rules (http://mvr.hobby-site.org/html/zaggi-regeln.html) (sorry, only in German) we have following classes: Limbo-Flying (flying under a lowering band); foxhunting (paper streamer); balloon killing
3: A jury team will award the "Best of Show Pokal" for the most spectacular or the best performed flight show.
As in the last years speed measurement and the popular tombola provided by named OEM's of e-flight scene is planed.
We have an excellent large grass field in both orientations to be independed from wind direction.
"Have fun" and "Get together in the daytime and in the evening" is the motto of our event. It's a very familiar and open meeting with a lot of fun. Everybody can fly without limitations (max. 25kg) or delays.
That's the planed schedule:
Friday 6/20/08 afternoon
- incoming and free flying (*)
Saturday 6/21/08
- jointly breakfast; until 9:30am free flying (*)
- 9:45am, welcome of pilots; opening.
- 10:00am to 4:00pm official registered flying (**)
- 4:00pm to open end: free flying, inclusive night-flying (*)
- 7:00pm to open end: get together, live-music
Sunday 6/22/08
- jointly breakfast; until 9:30am free flying (*)
- 10:00am to 3:00pm official registered flying (**)
- 12:30am, tombola
Please note!
(*) - no controlling of frequency by MVR, please use the channel board.
(**) - channel controlling by MVR, check in before flying, release of transmitters.
Only electric powered models (max. 25kg) are allowed. Proof of insurance is required.
No admission. No pre-registration is necessary, but would be helpful for our planning.
