I downloaded the upgrade to 1.11.7.9 from here (http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html) .
I am not happy
The graphics got very choppy, and the plane can fly off the top of the screen. I guess the pilot has a bad neck or something
The plane also looks too small now.
Any solution besides starting from scratch and doing the updates again to get back to where i was before (1.9.07.11 I think) ?
Thanks,

Flying off the top of the screen is fixed by adjusting one of the view controls for vertical movement.
I am not in front of my sim right now but I had the same issue which took about 2 seconds to fix once I found the right adjustment to make. While you are there you can also adjust the field of view to suit your preferences. That'll fix the aircraft size.
As for the slowdown, I guess this is the problem....
---------------------------------------
Note: This patch introduces quite a few changes and requires at least OpenGL 2.0. Please only install this patch if you have a 3D-card with OpenGL 2.0 driver support. Do NOT use this patch on 3D-cards older than a NVIDIA GeForce 7000 series or on ATI cards older or slower than the X800 series. We also recommend a minimum of 128 MB of 3D graphics card memory.
----------------------------------------
My desktop PC is 3Ghz with a Geforce 6800Ultra (below min spec) with 256Mb and it is working fine, probably smoother than before.
Depending on your video card, your problem might only be a new set of drivers required from your card maker.

Thanks for the response.
Nvidea Geoforce7600
3.2Ghz P4 with 1GB of ram.
I am running 1920x1200, so the screen is pretty big.
I tried fiddling with all the sliders in the viewing options. Nothing helped.
The only one than mentions vertical at all is "Height dependant vertical camera". It didn't do much at all.
Not sure why the default would not be to follow the plane
I will look into updated drivers.

Updated the drivers.
Found a utility (http://delphi3d.net/hardware/glinfo2.zip) and confirmed I have OpenGL 2.1.2. installed.
Still have choppy video. :(
Nothing fixed the flying off the top of the screen thing.
The choppiness was not as noticeable with photo rendered scenery, but I mainly use the "Forestlake".
Time to look for the AFPD CD and start from scratch I guess..
