OK, first let me explain the design, it's a basic twin tail boom model but the way it came out (this is design on the fly here)my rear two vertical fins will be slightly angled inwards (the tips leaning towards the center of the plane) MUCH like fins on a twin jet, almost the same exact angle (although it looks nothing like a TJ) My question is that, unlike the TJ , MY rudders will be functional (this is a rudder/elev only model) and how will this angle effect the turning? It seems to me that in say a right turn the left rudder will be actinng with some down elevator and the right with some "up" force, so I'm hoping that they cancel eachother out. Hmmm........ does this make any sense?

thanks!

Yes they will cancel each other out if the tilt is the same. But up to 5 degrees of tilt wouldn't have any appreciable elevator coupling IMO.

:) Well thank you, so I guess my mental calculations were somewhat correct then. And as far as angle goes, I figure it's about 2 to 3 degrees only. It's been a fun project so far, with a wing from an old sailplane (cut down to 43") (built up balsa) and a fuse and tail booms made from stryo.(covered in Monocote) An interesting looking thing it is.
