Hello!
I am currently tasked with the search for Aerospace and Defence Engineering experts from around the globe, to bring their experience in to the United Arab Emirates, particularly candidates who have experience in UAVs.
My client is the first of its kind in the GCC region. It will act as the incubator for new unmanned systems programs, with particular emphasis on potential UAV markets, and will actively develop business opportunities that can exploit leading edge technologies and facilities. Their vision is to achieve the capabilities to design, manufacture and provide services for any type of UAV, fixed wing and vertical take off and landing (VTOL), and thus become a globally recognized brand.
I am looking to hear from UAV experts and engineers who would be considering their next career move or if you’d just like more information on the opportunities and market out in UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) or just advice on living in Dubai/Abu Dhabi.
All our vacancies are listed on our website www.executivesolutionsme.com but I am particularly interested to hear from Embedded Control Software Engineers, Flight Control and Navigation Engineers, Pilots and Flight Test Leaders, Systems Engineers, Technical Leads and Project Leaders. Please do get in contact with me via email or the forum and feel free to pass on my details to fellow UAV experts!
Now a question for you, can you please advise me of any online forums or communities or websites that would help me find these experts! ??
I look forward to hearing from you, all the best – Lois.

Lots of interesting positions but no salary scales - makes it a bit difficult for anyone to evaluate whether or not it's worth relocating.

Before contacting someone like this you should be aware of the The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In a nutshell, if you provide any foreign entity with information that could assist them with creating or improving any item which could be used as a defensive/offensive tool without the approval of the State Department you you could find yourself in prison. Even if someone says it is a UAV for counting penguins it could also be used for military purposes against our interests. These rules apply even if when dealing with Canada. Working with a foreign company can be done if you get the appropriate approval.
see www.pmddtc.state.gov/itar_index.htm for more info.

Americans should check out what the U.S. State Department has to say about traveling to Dubai:
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1050.html
An excerpt:
“SAFETY AND SECURITY: Americans in the United Arab Emirates should exercise a high level of security awareness. The Department of State remains concerned about the possibility of terrorist attacks against U.S. citizens and interests throughout the world. Americans should maintain a low profile, vary routes and times for all required travel, and treat mail and packages from unfamiliar sources with caution.”
This type of opportunity is dubious for all except young, single adventure seekers willing to live in a “green zone”. If the qualified applicant isn’t offered at least $160,000 for an entry level position, then that applicant has not “done the math”. I have my European Distributor do all of our Dubai business.

Those jobs could become valuable if the recession is really bad. Banks & executives R only going to put up with writedowns for so long before workers pay.

Maybe I misunderstood your post, but do u mean that if I want to do this job I need to ask some american department? Even if I am not from US? I prefer to assume you wrote this about US citizens. :D

You already knew what was going to happen 11 months ago.
Those jobs could become valuable if the recession is really bad. Banks & executives R only going to put up with writedowns for so long before workers pay.
Guided missile delivery experts & nuclear physicists R taking jobs wherever they can find them. Fortunately the UAE is the good guys. The "united" guys.

Overpaid armchairs warmers always welcome to apply :)
But I do have a role for an 'Exploitation Specialist" - develop and assess the requirements for different communications, networks, datalinks and mission systems for unmanned air systems to meet the business objectives.
If you are interested - PM me

Hello!
I am an Avionics Engineer with 7 years of experience. I have also worked for a UAV project. I am interested in discussing with you the UAV job opportunity in more detail.
In the past 6 years, I have been concentrating more on tasks involving mathematical modeling and algorithm development. In this regard, as a team member I was able to develop very useful algorithms for fly-out simulations (dynamic models for 3 & 6-Degree Of Freedom (DOF) simulations using MATLAB 5.3/6.5/7.1 (SIMULINK) & C / Visual C++).
Please give me your email ID so that i can send you my CV for your review.
Also give me details about the employer.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Arshad
