Just saw a short vid that showed if you take a 6v lantern battery apart there are 32 regular AA batts inside. Haven't tried it but it would be a lot cheaper way to get batts. :D

If you take a 9v "transistor radio" battery apart, there are 6 eenie-teenie cells that look like AAAAA size.

PP3 is what we call a 9V battery. Also referred to by geezers as a transistor radio battery.

I've seen the video and even passed it on to a few people before I checked it thoroughly. You're more likely to find "D" size cells inside a lantern battery and, how do you suppose all those itty-bitty AA cells stay connected without the addition of tabs between them? Just the pressure of the plastic or metal wrap? Not likely.
