I've seen this plane for a long time, and would love to see a conversion, but I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet.

Here are the specs:

Length: 61.8"
Wing Span: 63.4"
Wing Load: 20.9 oz
Weight: 12 lbs
Radio: 4 chnl. 7 Servos
Engine: 108 2 cycle, 120 4 cycle
Wing Area: 8.59 sq ft

I would guess there would be serious issues with getting the batteries up under the cowl.

Somebody pointed out that AXI is coming out with a new motor. It the 5320/18. I was thinking if this thread when I was reading it :D Just think, a 8s2p A123 pack in the cowl with the motor. Honey, please take the checkbook away.

Do you have to put them under the cowl? I put mine under the Center of Gravity, in the fuselage. Here are the specifications for my Carl Goldberg Monster Pitts conversion.

Wingspan:60 inches
Wing Area:1089 sq. inches or 7.56 sq.ft.
Wing Loading: 28.78 oz./sq.ft
Weight 13.6 lbs.
Motor: AXI 5330/18 with Jeti 90 Amp Opto ESC
Propeller: APC 20x13 Electric
Power to weight ratio: 225 watts per pound
Batteries: ThunderPower (2) 5S3P(6000mah)Li-Po wired in series for 10S3p pack.

The flight performance is excellent and the landing speed is decent.
The batteries have lasted about 20 minutes with reserve for landing.
Vertical performance is unlimited!

Have fun,
Randy
