I have a new U-Boat thats still in dry dock nearing completion. The hull is a 32nd Parallell and is identical to the first boat. Both are approx 7 feet long. All that remains are the conning tower and deck details and a paint and weathering job. Then the sometimes difficult task of adding weight, foam and intial trim. This boat will be an earlier VII simular to DAS Boot. The painted sub represents a later model VIIC which has more anti aircraft guns, a snorkel but no deck gun. There are over 50 pics of that sub posted here if you search back a ways. Ill post more pics of the VII as its construction contunues. Should be ready for a spring sea trial.

2nd Pic. Black lines on the hull are simulated weld lines added by me and are painted over.

The most notable differences are the coning towers. The later model has an extended wintergarden with more guns. More Later....

Yeah the guy who accused me of ripping him off cause of the big holes in the wtc...ha ha ha. "How can it keep the electronics dry with them big holes in it?" I will try to do a search this weekend and see if I can find him. I kinda doubt he has it running or even touched it.

Wow it sounds like a funny story. May we know more ? :D
I have always liked jokes ;)
Seriously.....the guy who bought your fantastic VIIC41 told you you ripped him off because the WTC had holes ??? You mean the holes to flood the ballast tank ?? If thats it you can tell him to do doll houses....it is maybe the right hobby for him :D
Amused Antoine.

The boat above thats not weathered was sold on ebay a few years ago. I STRESS that these are not Nikko toys you plug a battery in and go play but rather complex and experience is important.Anyways,a guy buys it and after he gets it, I receive a call from a very angry man. He accused me of ripping him off an the boat would never float because of the big "holes" on the bottom front of the wtc, a D&E 3.5. I tried to explain the concept but he interuppted by saying ,"I was in the Navy and understand these things." Ive also learned to be very careful using the terms, ARF,ARR,RTR ect.
