I know that many of us will open up our shops to those that
don't have equipment and help get a hull, running gear, or other
model part built up for someone. A person just has to ask.
But what if you aren't close by, or we are on vacation(sailing models)?

Tech shop ... Coming to Seattle and Portland... and a location near you?

:)

And I know that I don't have a Laser cutter...

I don't think I'll hold my breath. This little burg doesn't even have a post office or stop light. Rats. :(

I was working, I was reading a comic book...

One of the Queen's Own club members sent it around.

I did get some time to work on the SDM...
Hmmm Maybe this should be posted in the SDM Tug thread...
Or the Furuno Radar thread...

Anyway you can't see it, but it is all wired up, and at the same time, I
wired up the circuits for Spot Lights and Flood Lights... Now I need
Flood lights... Hmmm...

I have been subscribed to Tech Shop for a few months now, ever since they opened up in Nor Cal. The good news for me is they will be opening a facility in the Los Angeles area. I can't wait!

It'd be nice to have something like that nearby, but like 420, we don't have a post office either---. :p

But three or four guys in my club are machinists with fairly well-equipped shops---. :D

They sure have an impressive list of equipment in their Menlo Park branch - lost wax, cnc mill, 3D printer, laser cutter and engraver, not to mention a lot of less exotic equipment. Interestingly, no woodworking stuff that I saw. Of course, that location, which was about 15 minutes from where I used to live, is now about 3 hours away on a good driving day. Oh well....

(sigh---) Not much hope for something like that setting up around here---. :(

Guess I'll just have to make do with what is---. ;)

Interesting concept.

Get the word out to the Robot guys and you could keep the place booked.

Nice thing indeed... I am sure that the modeller in these area are pretty happy to get it. In the meantime, for the year membership price, I prefer to complete my workshop with good none made in C.... stuff... But in my workshop I miss one thing, connecting with folks....
