What size is the boat? the bigger the boat the bigger the shaft and prop.
What motor are you going to use? the more or less power you have also will play a part in this.

We need a Huntsman expert. Id say measure the distance between where the shaft exits the hull and the hull, multiply by 2, then subtract a couple mm's for clearance. Is there a Huntsman expert in the house??
