Hello All,
I am thinking of building a 48" or so high speed aerobatic plane and I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a airfoil?
I will be bagging carbon over blue foam for the wing.
Thanks for any information.

Take a look at the Ferat (JR #65). It has a 64A012 ...flies great.

Here's the profile of the 64A012 and a 0012.
Close as makes no never mind for model construction practice.
The slightly fatter nose on the 0012 would make for better stall characteristics, while the cusp at the trailing edge of the 64A012 would be somewhat of a pain to build accurately.
There's no readily obtainable polar data for the 0012 or 64A012, but for that series of shapes the behavior for similar thicknesses is similar.
With the 64A010 polar overlaid that of the 0009, there's really no aerodynmic to go to the 64A012 over the simpler 0012.

How high speed and how aerobatic? And how much inverted and how much right side up?
If it's a very high speed model that does BIG HUGE loops and lots of fast twinkle rolls then one of the very low camber sailplane type airfoils might work well. Like some of the HN series. Very low camber and thin. Would respond well to a vacumn bagged wing. In fact at that point why not just build a Formula 1 or FAI pylon racer with a few mods as required? Or stick a hot engine into an electric Hotliner type of model?
But as the medium to lower speeds and snap type stuff gets important then I like the stuff that Sparky is showing you here.

e.g., Eppler 374. ~2% amber, not too thin and no cusp at the trailing edge.
