Hi everyone,
I've been seeing a few excellent B-17 models completed lately, and decided to start a new thread for posting pictures and video of any electric B-17 models out there regardless of manufacturer or size. Let me open up with a few pictures of mine:

Kit: WingMfg short kit (extensively modified)
Wingspan: 96 in.
Wingarea: 1200+ sq.in.
AUW: 10lbs
Motors: 4x Apache 30-18T motors, 4x 11x5.5 APC-E props
ESCs: 4x Jeti Adv. Plus 40A
Battery: 2x 3S2P Tanic 4300 and 2x 3S TP 2100 Prolites

These are pictures from the second flight (except the last one which is from the maiden flight). Since then she's gained a chin turret, guns, and other scale details. Retracts will be coming at some point as well... Later I may post newer pictures along with video.

Now, let's see what you guys got!!! :)

"...any B-17s out there regardless of manufacturer or size...".

This one is made by Boeing and it has a wingspan a little over 100 feet.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist the opening, I will flame myself accordingly. :D

Here is the ARTF [in very basic form, in other words, no scale stuff done worth talking about] version. I do have a vid somewhere on here of it on flight.....but have no idea how to do a link!

Just scroll down to the video forum and make a new thread. It lets you upload up to 200Mb of movies. Then post the link back here. BTW, what are the specs on your B-17.

I already have a video on there, just don't know how to link it to here! Spec is 64" span, 4 x 1350kv 400 class motors, 8" props, 3300mAh 3s Lipo, and of course it has retracts.

Some of you probably already saw pictures of mine, but I'll add them here anyhow.

Basic cedarhobbies kit.....but massively modified from original, almost to the point this plane deserves not to be linked to that name anymore IMO.
80" wingspan
4x Power 10 outrunners w 9x7x3 Master Airscrew props(counter-rotating):
Total power 1300 watts
Flying weight 13.5 pounds with 4x TP 2200 extreme V2 3s or
14.3 pounds with 6x TP 2200 extreme V2 3s <---Its easier to balance with the 6 batteries, and will provide more flight time, however, the wingloading is obviously higher.
Robart Air retracts w/oleos and diamond treaded 3" roabrt wheels.

Doc-e...your plane should be a real floater at 10 pounds with 96" wingspan. The base cedarhobbies plane with glow weighed 12 pounds dry and it was a floater.

You don't land that very nice plane on that gravel road do you? Looks like one rock would take her out.

Very nice, thanks.
