Can anyone explain me what is the meaning of the number carver on the back cover of the gyro case. My one is 7046. Is this the product number or the serial number? Anybody has such gyro with the same number?
Thank You and Regards,
C. Bastos

Just looked at two of mine and they are 6046G and 5086G. The G is down in the corner. I have no idea what it is.

I think they are a type of serial number allocated to the different distributors that Futaba have around the world.

The warranty for the product, is only the responsibility of the distributor, for the product they sell, not for product sold by other distributors.

If an item is returned to a distributor for warranty, that does not have their serial code, this would mean it was not sold by them. Consequently, they will not warranty it, and will charge for any repair, shipping etc.

And if the item is returned for non-warranty repair, these costs are usually higher then what they would charge someone who bought from one of their dealers.

So for example, if you are in North America, and bought something on-line, be sure it is a Futaba product that originated from Great Planes (the NA distributor for Futaba product) or it will not be warranted, and sometimes not even repaired, by them.

For JR product in NA, it would have to have originated from Horizon.
