Well since nobody seems to know anything about Nitroplanes SeaFury, I'm going to go ahead and order and save up for the KMP ARF its the best anyway.

Some questions......

I currently have a Goldberg .90-1.20 Suhkoi flying with an older like 5+ years Saito 180 4stroke. this is a 9.5lb plane before years of repairs so I'd estimate is closer to 10lbs or so now, this power is very adequate in this plane, but not what I would call major overkill. It has a 71" wing very simular to the SeaFury size wise. This Suhkoi is ready for retirement its over 7yrs old and beatup and we don't fly this type of plane anymore, and have no interest in 3D.

The KMP SeaFury is a .90-1.20 plane, and KMP claims 10.5 lbs with a 71" wing

Provided this older Saito 180 will physicaly fit in the large SeaFury cowl, which I think it will, this should be a good choice for slightler over powered flight ? This was the fastest warbird after all...

The newer Saito engines from .90-2.20 are all made on the 120 case now and they claim they all will fit a 1.20 motor mount and most 1.20 size planes.
I'm doubtful my Saito is this size but only test fitting will tell me for sure.

Does this sould like a good combo? the planes seem simular in size/weight and power requirements, and I'm really hoping to save $500 and re-use this Saito 180, if this doesn't work out I'm going to save for the Evo 26, or 35 gas motor instead. I really like the cheap fuel, simple start ect of a gas motor compared to the nitro and all the gear needed.

Any thoughts or suggestions ect on my SeaFury adventure?

Thanks

I have the older wood wing version and it weighs 13lbs. I doubt yours will be 10.5 but I could be wrong. I fly mine with a magnum 1.20 2 stroke and its not really enough. Going with a 25cc gas to see what happens.

I have had the worst customer service by a guy named paul morrison over there, so I don't want to promote the company, but it is the best flying warbird I have ever flown.

Thats good and bad news, I'm ordering it through my LHS so I'll get some support. I had a feeling she was heavy but yea they claim 10.5 on there site  the Saito 180 should be just better then adequate then.

Thanks, I'm getting info irl that it flies bad/hard but I can't see how the design is solid, has to fly better then a mustang lol
