Hey all,

Does anyone know anything about RC Helicopter Pylon Racing? Or if it exists?

We have plenty of heli pilots at our club... can't NEVER get us to fly near each other for obvious reasons... so I guess it would have to be a single 'timed' event. :D

I'm sure a recent magazine briefly mentioned a pylon race at a heli event (IRCHA maybe?), but it was for 450 size electrics i.e. small - again for obvious reasons :)

Our club holds an irregular heli meet in the spring. One of the events was drag racing on Sunday morning, before the out of towners packed up and left. The last one I witnessed the winner stayed low and crossed the fininsh line first. The looser had sort of given up and just did sort of a slow climb. The winner pulled up vertically to celebrate. The looser's chopper T boned the winner's chopper . Part flew off of both choppers for 100's of yards. I hate to see what would happen with 4 of them around a pylon.
