G4 USB Controller question/Help

I'm new to sims and purchased the G4 for my son and I. Today he told me the plane wants to "dip" to the left. I looked at it thinking all that was needed was a little trimming. The trimming button on the right does not click or have any control either way. I've calibrated it several times and it looks ok. When I go into the properties of the plane, it shows the trim at something like + - 14. I have no way to change it though when I do, it goes right back.

Is this a controller thing or software? Is there a way to "reset" the controller?

are you saving the change and re-nameing the plane, then when you fly the re-named model it should reflect the edit you made

I have G3/G3.5 Aand that is how it works for me
