Hi all,

Was going to get into boats but after spending a lot of time building my boat, I decided to just let it sit on the bookshelf. RC airplanes are really my thing. So I have some equipment to unload, if anyone is interested...

Motors - GIVEN AWAY
Epic Intense Motor 12T Double - see here for specs (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJNG1&P=7). Tower sells this one for $30. As you can see in the photo below this one is brand new. I've opened the package but the motor has never been run. I'm asking $12 plus actual shipping.

Venom Fireball 17d – not sure what the specs are on this one. I got it from my local hobby shop for $20. It too is still brand new. I'll sell it for $8 plus actual shipping.

Or buy both motors together for $18 plus actual shipping.

ESC - SOLD
RC Smart Water Resistant 100A Speed Controller - see here for the website (http://www.rcsmart.com/escwater100a.html). There's not much info available on this speed controller. They're widely available on eBay, which is where I got mine, and typically come from Hong Kong. The ESC is supposed to be sealed and waterproof. It came without any instructions or specs. On some forums I have read that the 100 amp rating is probably an exaggeration - it may be best to keep continuous current to 60 amps or less. I have never used this ESC so I suppose you could say it's brand new, or if you're a pessimist, I suppose you could say that I don't know if it works. I fully expect it does but do be aware that this isn't something made by Castle Creations or something... Others have used this same model ESC and had good reports with it, but do your research.

I will sell it for $17 plus actual shipping.

Hardware
Octura props and drive dog - these are genuine Octura parts still sealed in the package. There are two beryllium props, an X427 and an X430. The drive dog is a 1/8" ID by 1/4" OD with set screw. Sorry, I'll only sell these three items together. Asking price is $12 plus actual shipping. SOLD

Octura 3 inch Aluminum Wedge Rudder - just as it says, this is the 3 inch Octura. It does not come with an Octura bracket but I made a custom bracket of my own which I will include. See the photos. This rudder is new and has never been used. It is currently selling for $30, I am asking $15 plus actual shipping. GIVEN AWAY

Motor Mount - an OSE "DR Motor Mount - low" good for mounting speed 500, 600, and 700 motors. It is the low profile version. I am asking $3 plus actual shipping. SOLD

I only accept Paypal as payment. See all the pictures below for more detail, and feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks guys,

Luke

justeen, postage on that motor is expected to be $2.50 sent by the post office from Oregon to Albany, NY, where I presume you are.

I'd much prefer PayPal over a money order. If you don't have a bank account I understand that can be tricky. Do you have a friend that could do the PayPal for you? If not let me know and we can probably do a money order.

also do you have a motor and a prop that can go together?

russ, it is a nice hull. It was built from Garry Finlay plans, which happen to be free to download - I just took them to a print shop, printed them out, and voila. It was an easy build. Check here for the plans download (http://216.120.233.47/buildoff.htm).

I've seen Garry run his own version of this boat and he says it goes anywhere from 30 to 40 mph, depending on how you power it. I didn't clock it but it was pretty fast when I saw it.

As for motors and props that will go together, the two motors and two props I listed above will work well together in a hull of this size. Those are the two motors and props I was planning to experiment with on this very hull.

If you want to see the build thread for the boat, you can check it out here (http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/feforums/showthread.php?t=18587).

Sorry for taking this off topic... but I do think Garry's boats are great and I like to spread the word.

Sorry Colin, didn't know you were in the market for one. But maybe at least you can bring your boat to Chilliwack this spring, as I'd love to see it.

Same to you. I am hoping to be able to break the 50 mph mark with this new hydro. You also need to bring up your hydro. To bad you it won't be running.
