Does any one have any idea what it would cost to convert the Villain Ex to brushless/lipo? I am guessing $40 to $50 per motor to replace the two brushed titan motor, $60 to $80 for new 65 AMPH ECS and twenty dollors a cell for the lipo's, would run three cells, so $60 dollors per battery. I am thinking around $300 to do it right, what does anyone think? Am I figuring in the ball park or am I missing something. Any ideas?

I honestly don't think it will be worth the money but that is just me. I think you will be much happier with a SuperVee.

I agree, the top speed is 28mph and then starts being unstable. I just did that and asked Coolecool and he said the same things i said to you. Now here's something i don't understand! The 27 in the postings has several hundred postings all together in several forums but all i read id trouble abound. They say leaks for one, don't bend trim tabs or will crack transom, cooling leaks, lipos change cg but then you have to cutout this or that. Now for the price you pay, i would think this has already been thought out. This is not a bitch or grip, just facts i read from reading the forums. You read them ( forums ) and see what i'm talking about. The best advise for V-Ex owners is use Maxx wild motors on 11.1 lipo per motor and a esc to match change and run 632 octura props with props turning in so you have more force going backward instead of force going outward. There's another way to do revamp is this; remove u-joints and outdrive and gear box. Next insert stuffing tube and teflon for each motor and extend out from transom 2 3/4". The rudder can be in the middle with servo high enough for rudder to turn 20 degrees. Turn fins can be mounted close to outside but higher than the keel and 90 degree to transom and vertical. I would use 11.1 lipos.
