Hi,
Anyone know if its at all possible to use a usb joystick to run the RealFlight G3 Demo program.

Keyboards and games just don't go together especially the flight sims.

Thanks & Regards.

When will you guys learn.... :)

Its a demo to allow you to see if it will run on your PC. Rather than make it run like a move they provided a simple means of controlling the demo model.

The idea is that if the demo runs on your PC you then go out and purchase the full package which comes with an interlink controller/interface which also provides the copy protection to prevent people selling copies of the demo along with a windows joystick interface.

Excuse me for my ignorance but isn't :

1. A demo program suppose to works as indicated - A DEMO. If a program is just to test the system then it should be indicated as such - Hardware Verification/Test or Program to TEST System Compatibility.

2. Microsoft Flight Simulator X has a demo available and there is no restriction on interfacing.

I am not here to rip the software company off. I just want to know if I can try the demo program with a joystick.

And, if I wanted a PIRATED Full version of RealFlight G3, I could have easily got it off the many torrent site available today.

Well in that case it is a demo, only its functionality is limited to keyboard control

2. Microsoft Flight Simulator X has a demo available and there is no restriction on interfacing.

Can't really comment on either companies company policy.

Leagally there is no way to use the downloadable demo with a joystick for the reasons covered in previous post

True, and there are other means to get the demo working with a standard joystick, but this forum isn't the place to discuss warez and means of circumventing copies of the full appliaction or the demo, which is what you originally asked to do.
