Just pulled the first painted part out of the mold and thought I'd share some pictures and tell you all what I'm up to. You can see some pictures of the unpainted prototypes at my RCgroups blog here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=22383

These "after market" nose cones have a molded in nose skeg and fit the Kennedy Composites Supra. No more dragy and ugly taped on devices for us. These will be painted in the mold for a nice finish. Our standard layup is a glass shell with a carbon anti split band at the rear and the skeg itself is a composite of Kevlar and carbon fiber. Other layups are possible on request. Red or white paint. May consider adding other colors.

Many thanks to my friend Dom who helped me make the mold and learn the process. My Son AJ and I hope to sell a handful of these. I'm hoping to raise a little money to help get me to Turkey to watch AJ fly in the F3J World Champs for which he is a USA Junior Team member (Note Dad's are not included in the official USA team fund raising efforts). AJ is raising money for a new sailplane. Production will be limited because we have school and a day job.

Price is $150 plus $8 shipping

Nice looking nosecone Bob! If I still had a Supra Id buy one to help fund your way over to be w/AJ during the championships. BTW, how about a skeged Perfect nosecone, Id take one of those! I dont really like the tape ons either. Anyway, best of luck on the sales and of course best to AJ in Turkey.

Skegs are illegal for use in F3J competitions.

He knows Brian, but in American TD thay are not and this would be a nose cone for that alone.

Bob,

Nice work!!
The attaching pictures are the landing test by AJ. The structure is very strong and pass all the hard landing. :D
