Hi everyone,
Here is a sneak peek of my upcoming kit, the ParkParrot and yes everyone this is an ORIGINAL Kinkade design. So you saw it here first!
Not much bigger than a breadbox ( 7-8 ounces) and powered by a GWS IPS motor. It uses GWS Pico servos or Hitec HS-50's. I have used a Pixie 7P speed control on it but I'm sure a lower amp version will work, probably a GWS 5 amp. I still need to check the current draw. So far, 7 minute flights on eight 370 Mah NIMH cells.
This is my first time attaching a photo here so I hope it posts. I noticed it did not show the picture when I previewed the post.
This is my prototype of the ParkParrot and it is actually a few months old but I have not yet had the time to start production on it plus I want to redesign it to fly slower for indoor flying. That means a little more wing area. Currently it seems to fly almost as fast as the ParkHawk. I have the redesigned bird drawn but only have to have parts made and test the new prototype, then production can start. With a larger wing it should be able to fly on 2 lithium wafer cells.
If you are interested in this new bird please add your name to my list. I am aiming for a February 2003 release.
