I've been searching for possible large-scale duct fan jet models. Is there any definitive list of kits/plans available?

No "Definitive" list but you can check out the EDF Forum as well as Tamjets.com and EJF.com, should get you started,

Nick Ziroli has plans for new 72" wingspan sport jet. Looks like a long fuse so that should qualify it as a giant scale electric ducted fan.

Unfortunately the Turbinator is designed for Turbine power and at a weight of 20~22 pounds would not be a good candidate for conversion.

No law against trying 2 x 120mm fans and enough lipo's to power it! If I had the bucks I would try :D Unfortunately the Turbinator is designed for Turbine power and at a weight of 20~22 pounds would not be a good candidate for conversion.

Don't forget Bob Violets new line of EDF's. Turbine size and turbine like performance. Very impressive if you get a chance to see them in person.

The OP was looking for large scale EDF's. Any large scale plane is going to be pricey. The Electros are pricey but still less expensive than the turbines and the system is proven to work.

You can convert any of these planes to electric, as I did with the IL-62M ... however, I wouldn't really call them kits.

Define "large" -- Here's a foam F/A-18 that costs $169.00. I'm using 2 70mm fans and 28mm motors, total cost about $100.00, and powering it with a 4S2P PQ pack (about $200.00). Some other guys use 2 90mm fans, or a single 90mm fan.
Then there's a 'glass and balsa 55" BAE Hawk - $75.00 on Ebay, plus a 36mm motor and 102mm fan from Hobby City for $70.00. It runs on 12S of A123s - See the EDF forum as above, too. All sizes, all costs.

here are many airliner models, some are electric

even if he chose to use turbines on some of his models, you may convert to electric
