I have a Ruslter that I just installed a brushkless Noovak system on...It is easily doing 50+ mph top speed, but I wanted to put larger tires on the back...the 2.2" tires arent quite high enough....I see they sell 2.8 " tires but I was womndering if they sold 3" or taller tires/rims that would work on the back of the Rustler...or for the fronts and backs.....

With the 2.8" wheels you can run the Traxxas Tallons that come stock on the newer Stampedes they are just under 4" in diameter, the tires on most 2.2" wheels are about 3". If that isn't enough for you get the 14mm hex used on the bigger trucks (Revo / T-Maxx) and go 3.8" wheels. Remember that when you change to a larger tire your are in effect changing the gearing and you can easily end up over gearing and overloading the motor.

50+ on a Novak?!?! is it a HV monster truck version??? How do you figure 50mph; GPS, radar gun???

Nothing wrong with the 2.2 rim, in fact you have a lot more tires to choose from. If you get the Moab 2.2 then you'll the hight of a Stampede since it's a lot taller tire. Using the adapter to use 40 size tires will get you a lot higher but it'll require a lot more power to turn those heavy wheels and all the extra surface area.

yeah, what type of system? 'Cause I've been there before with a 5800ss Novak. 30mph tops on good GP batteries, on smooth pavement, slight decline. I find it hard to believe a 2 cell lipo would push it 20mph faster.

44 tooth pinion is much larger than I've ever played with on mine. If it's a little SS Novak then it must be generating massive heat.
