When you use a buddy box, can you still use the trims and switches/mixes/etc on the 'host' TX while the buddy box is "engaged"?

When you use a buddy box, can you still use the trims and switches/mixes/etc on the 'host' TX while the buddy box is "engaged"?
On top end TX usually Yes, on mid to low end TX, usually No.
