I've mounted video gears on a flat platform which goes instead of canopy. Looks like Crash9's did on his EZ Stars.
I would like to ask for ideas how to fix this platform to the plane. I've tried to use velcro pieces beneath platform to keep it fixed and it works fine but it kind of hard to disassemble platform afterwards for lipo change etc.
Usage of rubber bands will give easy access to lipo and such but looks kind of bad when band goes around the fuse (not to criticize yours VRFlyer :) ).
Anyone care to give me some ideas of how to fix it?
Thanks.

I use a masking tape hinge on one side and rubberbands around the whole thing.
Yeah, the rubberbands don't look great and they get rolled up on landing, but they are easy and foam isn't all that strong for holding fancy latches.

Edit: You could try masking tape on both sides if you really don't like the rubberbands.

Thanks Pete. Do you mean just tape the platform to the fuse from both sides? And retape it every time I change lipo?

I use threaded alum inserts bonded into the fuse to hold a threaded rod. You could do the same thing with a piece of wooden dowel stock and wood screws.

I tape it so that the tape on one side acts like a hinge, and then use rubberbands, but you could make a tape hinge on one side (a couple of layers) and then enough tape on the other side to feel comfortable.

I put velcro under the mount, holds it just fine.

I use 6mm foam board wrapped in black tape. Make the platform just as wide as the fuse and about an 1 cm longer than the horizontal lengthwise canopy sill, and notch it so that looking from the top down, it looks like a big FAT and SHORT "T". Make it so the short vertical part of the "T" fits snuggly into the aft cabin, and all you'll need will be around 1 to 2 cms of velcro on the front end, both sides to hold it down securely in flight. It will also "give" during a sudden stop maybe saving you some servo gears...The pan servo just slips into a snug built up section of the platform, no screws, tape or velcro...

I like to glue the original EZ* black canopy clips to what ever cover I make for the camera.
