Perhaps you'd better re-read the remarks made by a certain
cynical tradesman who claimed to be a gas fitter, but
now claims to be a softy?

OK - I'm gone.
I had supposed that after being "accused" of being a childish pedantic
that I might have been allowed that chance of a courteous reply. It
seems that is not the case.
I had not intended to turn this into a "slanging match" - I don't think
I have slung insults at anyone.
I'm outta here.........

I wish, now, that I had never mentioned the flicking gas holder at
Northolt, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. By doing so I
was thus probably responsible for the way this thread has developed.
I apologise to all.
Usually we can all have a bit of fun and amusement even when we wander
off topic. After all the only reason most of us pursue this hobby is
for enjoyment. This NG is usually like a clubroom where considerable
information is passed around, where much helpful assistance is given,
and, like any other clubroom where a bit of banter takes place.
Great! Splendid!! .......but we don't come to wrestle on the floor. :)

You put them in the microwave and get a great "light-show"
This is best done when the domestic authorities are out (apparently)
