View Full Version : Discussion Building a LARGE brushless speed controller

hello! How plausible would it be to make a brushless speed controller with ratings of around 70 volts and 200 amps? From what i have seen the larger speed controllers are very similar to the smaller ones, just with larger/more FETs etc. could one use the same structure all the way up to these high loads? thanks!

this will give you plenty of reading.

Basically you will need a Buck regulator to drop the voltage down to produce 5 or 3.3V for the controller and 12volts for the Mosfet driver chip. Then lots of MOSFETS in parallel. At this voltage the MOSFET's you will be using will have a fairly high Rdson.
