Possible sites could be dams, cliffs maybe even at Lake George.

Im keen to know as well. Ill be up there come April.
DSDave is the man to ask. I dont know how to contact him but hes the Canberra DSer to speak to apparantly.
From memory Parlament house is pretty grassy and would be a great LZ or maybe you could fly of the top of it by bungeeing up and zooming down the back of the building. I reckon youd get your head on the news at very least.

Forget lake George. There is a tiny quarry that is dsable, but not really. Appartenly the range on the other side of LG is dsable (as seen when flying an E'ly) but I never got there and the LZ is supposed to be a one shot wonder.
I ds'ed spring range a few times, that was the best that I could find. The LZ isn't that great, and there is a fence across the top of the ridge but it is certainly doable.
I left canberra before I really learnt to DS but I think that there may be a few possibilities out in stromolo forrest/brindabella ranges.

I asked this question in the Aus regional forum recently - I'm going to be there (Canberra) for Christmas. There are a couple of small sites: One in Theodore that looks promising, one at Murimbatman (on the way from Yass (I'll be dropping in there on my drive up)) and a couple near black mountain (Nth). DS Dave didn't report any of them as being ballistic, but DSable nonetheless.
Here's the link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=782541
I'll let you know after the xmas/NY break.

One hill that is very good for normal slope soaring and possibly for DS is the hill behind Lanyon Shops. Mt Rob Roy
There is a dirt road upto the top but you may have to get a key. I used to fly hang gliders there, but the lock has been changed since then.
You can walk up as an alterantive.
The main hill faces West but there is a bowl behind the hill facing NW to E. where I think DS may be possible in a Westerly or would cause DS to be possible on the main face in an Easterly. I have never tried DS so this is all new to me.

Where's Lanyon - can find it on Google Maps / Google Earth?

To find Lanyon look for the suburb of Canberra called Banks which lies about 25km south of the centre of the city.
The entrance track comes in from the North where the suburb is called Conder.
I used to fly here a lot until lots of new houses went up making bottom landing more difficult. Landing at the top when the wind is Westerly is almost perfect.
I used to be lazy and launch from the bottom and then soar up to height.
