You might try search for 1/4 scale Crackerbox RC boat. Many plans are scale
of full size plans adapted for radio control. "Radio Control Boat Modeler"
magazine has many listings for boats in the size your looking for, but most
are fiberglass hulls that you finish. Try these links.

I was thinking of a 1/4 scale Crackerbox too. I've made one from a set of
plans found in a french RC boat magazine.
Magazine name : RC Marine (no website yet)
Issue # : 75
Date : June 1997
It's a 1/4 scale cracker made of wood with beautiful mahogany planking, 2
stroke gas engine (designed for zenoah).
Mine runs very well.

This is something I came across a few weeks ago. I don't know anything else
