I think you took time to read through the other Equipage threads.
So don't forget to laquer or epoxy the interior and make it water resistent.

For a decent balance of speed/runtime.2 x 6 cell packs and a Graupner 2 blade 40mm.

Probably unwind to around the 15-20 amp range. The spikes on a w.o.t launch will be close to 40amps at a guess.

Fleetmaster did you seal the inside and if you did what did you use? also I was thinking about a unijoint A thrussbearing . what do you think?

www.offshoreelectrics.com for a flex coupler and thrust bearing for sure.
You can get Boca hybrid bearings too to suit the stuffing tube.
Have a troll through Kmot's Venice thread,as i'm sure he has specific part no.s.
Toss the standard prop too.Get a Graupner one or convert it to dog-drive and get access to the Octura range of metal props.

I didn't do the inside, just the outside.I'm told that linseed oil is good for the inside, but i have not tried myself.

Thanks fleetmaster I read all through KMOT buildlog and there are no part #'s on bearings . He replyed with a7x11 mm size . But his build said 7x7 mm . I have the newer built Monco . Iwas thinking of using friberglass resin on the inside . I live in Weare New Hampshire USA. Hobbyshops around here are airplanes ,helis, cars, trucks.
Thanks Bob Big

Sounds better moT!
Bob,the I.D is definately 4mm,double check on your prop shaft.
Steven at offshore is very good with his service.Delivery to you should be like lightning.
If you're not sure of a product, give him an email-he's a boat nut too.

Do think 2 IB 6 cell 4200 7.2 volt for $79.89 us or2 IB 7cell 4200 8.4 volt for $89.98 us from OFFSHORE Electrics . Both come with Deans conn on them.
I will run them in parallel.

I don't think you can get away with paralleling nimh packs.
You'll run them in series for 14.4 or 16.8 volts.
If you want reasonable speed from the big girl,go the 14 cell option.
Phill McCracken has his on 14 x IB3800s in the video section.
Power by a Johnson 700 standard can motor.

ithink Iam getting confused about this . My esc is rated to 12volts also my motor . wont under voltage hurt the or to many amp hour ???
What about a 10 cell for 12.4 volts . If not do you make your own batt pack?

Bob, 10 cells is 12.0 Volts. If your esc is rated to a max of 12V, do not over volt it!
Break your packs down and make 10 cells total. Or else buy a single 10 cell pack (if it will fit in your boat) or a "saddle pack" of two packs of 5 cells each.
Running a single 6-cell pack will not hurt your esc. But your motor will not run very fast and your boat will be disappointingly slow.
That amp hour rating of the battery will not damage your esc or motor. Only the amp draw if you exceed it by running too large a prop or running too many volts.
A 4200 mAh battery only means it has 4.2 Amps of reserve capacity. If you get a 2100 mAh battery it will have half as much reserve and run half as long, if that much.
Having more reserve capacity on hand allows the motor to draw more amps for a short time without stressing the battery and other components.

Go the 10 cell route.Sorry,I didn't know your esc was 12v rated.
If you want to parallel for big runtime,go for 2 x 11.1 volt lipos.
2 x 5000mah packs in parallel will give you 10000mah total capacity at 11.1 volts.

If I could make a suggestion, how about these? I found these batteries and a very nice(and inexpensive) charger that will charge 12v packs at www.all-battery.com .You do want to find out the dimensions of the packs to see if they will fit the area you have reserved for the battery.

Bob, no-one is an expert overnight and I can't even boast of that title!
That's why these forums are great.Everyone shares their own experiences and ideas for the benefit of others. What comes around............Hopefully you'll get her on the water soon.
If my ramblings somehow help you to a successful maiden and subsequent voyages, then i'm happy.
Perhaps you'll be able to help me out one day.
Cheers,Fleety.
