Hello,
Locally there is a group of people that race 1/12th scale pan cars and
1/10th touring cars.
I want to get in on it but just not sure what cars to get. Money is a factor
in the spending but not crucial. I was looking at 2 types of cars please let
me know if its a good choice and what you think would be better.
For the touring car I pick the TC3 Nitro.
For the 1/112th scale car I picked the SB12.
Please could you help.. thank you

Hey Mr. J. Hodgson I am sorry I should have told you that I am in fact NOT
new to this hobby, in fact I have been in it now for the last 15 or more
years but I sold out about 5 years ago and have started to re-buy everything
again. As of now I have a RC10-GT, Nitro RS4 MT, T-Max, and a HPI Micro, and
a Hudy power tire truer and the Hudy multy-pack on its way. I also do Nitro
boats as in mono's a 40 inch lazer by A.C. and I fly to,,, so modeling is
not new to me just the new cars that come in since I have been away. example
the 12L3 is new whets the deference between that and the older 12L I had
that was all graphite composite? like all my electric cars.
as for touring well never had that when I sold out so that hole line of cars
is new to me but I only want to buy once and not have to spend anther 300.00
bux to get it race ready like all the HPI kits sigh boy they know how to
bleed a guy don't they lol...
when I sold out I had 4 pan cars a 1/12 12 L, 10L, Lynx II, and a bolink
eliminator, nitro wise 1/8th associated and a cobra I think it was ran K&B
..21 in both. that is my background. I am sorry I should have added this to
my original post. I hope this helps...

For 1/12, the 12L3 whould be the best choice, almost no need to setup, and
nothing to modify, but most parts are not compatible with the older 12L,
like the rear axie, wheels, the T plate, and simply the whole rear
assembly....
Nitro TC3, I saw Barry Backer's NTC3 in Hong Kong last month in a
internation race... even 7 MTX3 ran into A main, but the NTC3 really fast...
I can say, much faster then the V one R drive by idon takuya (the Kyosho
team driver... although his car was awsome as well....) But if you think of
the whole entry list of the A main in that race, you'll think the MTX-3 was
a good car....
That race, arround 50~60 experts came to HK, but 7 HK driver with the MTX-3
ran into A main, only 1 Kyosho Team driver Idon Takuya, 1 NTC3 Barry Baker,
and 1 HK driver with the Serpant ran into the A main... Even the V one R won
the race (Barry retire on arround 10 min at the 1st after the 1st pit
stop).....
Have fun!!
