View Full Version : EMAXX troubles

Yesterday a buddy and I were out playing with my EMAXX. My buddy had the
controls and the MAXX took a hard head on collision at fully speed with an
unmoveable object (10" curb). Immediately after reverse wasn't working
anymore. The only structural damage was the front skid plate. It was near
the end of the battery life so I packed it up and took it home. I charged
the batteries and when I plugged them back in, one did nothing, and the
other turned put the ESC into full throttle position (radio was on and in
neutral as well as switch on speed control was off). I am assuming my ESC
is fried/borken. Any ideas from the group?

BTW. We did get some really good air with some jumps prior to this
happening. :)

Thanks

Ron

Rule Number One: NEVER let "buddy" drive RC.
Rule Number Two: Never violate Rule Number One.
All kidding aside, I think we have all been there.
Sounds to me the ESC is somehow F'd up. Take it in and have the guys at your
LHS hook your E-Maxx up to a new ESC, and check that out first. If that is not
it, have them take a close look at it for you. Maybe you can get the trouble
sorted out there.
Good luck.
Next time one of your buddies wants to try driving your expensive RC, give them
