Painting Ultracote?

I am planning on spraying a Flat clear coat on an ARF I just bought that is covered with Ultracote. Can I just spray right over the covering or do I need to scuff up the covering first? If I scuff it and then just spray clear on it will I see the scuff scratches? If I need to scuff it what is the best thing to scuff it with? I plan on spraying it with Lustrekote Flat Clear.
