If it does what you want, and you did not pay more than something comperable then you got a good buy.

Lots of RC stuff was designed a long time a go and some of the boat kits have been in producction for a long time.

The only advice I would give about hovercrafts is, not all of them can be taken on water.

Tyco, Nikko, Nkok, Airhogs, and anything else available at Radio Shaft, Wally World, K-mart, et al is a toy. They're made chaeply, don't have much range, only come on a few channels, have little or no upgrade parts, etc. To paraphrase the GMC ads -they are toy grade.

If you want hobby grade stuff: look for Futaba, JR, Hitec, Airtronics radios; AquaCraft, ProBoat, Midwest, Dumas, Scale Shipyard, MicroGlass boats and hulls; etc.

Typically all the production "toys" are too heavy, under powered, and don't run long enough to be worth their price. Great for kids on christmas, but in the long run they end up under the bed, or the back of the closet, or used as push toys with out radios.

Once in a while a hobbyist will tear them apart for motors or to put good equipment into. But that, at least, makes it worth a dollar... ;)

Okay, seriously now.............. ;)

It is not worth anything, except to someone who collects Tyco toys. You can buy brand new, latest state of the art toy hovercraft for $29.99 so this one being an older generation and performance wise even more miserable than the current iteration of miserably performing toy hovercraft, its value is going to be low. EXCEPT to someone who collects old Tyco toys for some reason.

So, your best bet to find out its value is to go ahead and list it on flea bay and see what it will bring. ;)

old? maybe in years but it's basic design and function are the same as current models in stores now. there is little to no value in that toy unless you maybe get it working and give it to a kid. the smile on their face will be worth well more than the couple of bucks you'd get for it.
