how to adjust a 2 or 3 speed tranny

I was just wondering how to set my 3 speed in my Kyosho Mad Force. I
assume it would be the same as a 2 speed, just tightened a little.
The instructions give no starting point for the adjustment screws. Is
there a standard to start out from all the way in (BDC)? This is my
first car with multiple gears, so I have no idea what I am doing.
