HI, we have just set up a new forum specifically for model tug boats and "tuggies".
http://modeltugforum.com
Please take a look and tell us what you think. We are open to any suggestions or comments to improve it.
Thanks Mark.

Looks like a good start, but why? So many other forums out there already, why not make them work for you?

Arrrgghh! Tug overload. Too many forums to visit.
I guess I just worry too much... will this ADD to model tugdom, or DILUTE the efforts? As it is, I rarely visit Mayhem... not for shortage of good stuff, but for shortage of time.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Towboating
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tugboats
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tugsandtows
and those are just the ones I bookmarked from Yahoo...
at Mayhem:
http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=64.0
Plenty of Great Lakes tug stuff at
http://search.boatnerd.com/ and http://www.boatnerd.com/ > Galleries > Tugs
And several photo sites such as:
http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/viewcat.php?cid=10 with over 28000 tug pix.
And I'm sure there's much more!
Hopefully though, never too much of a good thing...

easy way to get into tug towing, buy a southampton from hobby engine, I did, and i towed with it in 2006 with not so good results, though got second this year in the club competition, pulling a 6ft 1/35th coastal tanker, a slipway wyeforce following the stern working as brakeboat. for an RTR (albeit tweaked) it is perfectly able to tow

The tugs&tows yahoo group is all about modeling these vessels with lots of links to building material, modelers sites, and companies. Not to mention the help from modelers who are tops in their field.
